Halloween Candy Containers
Basil
Basil is a center slide candy container that stands 28" tall. He is in a lane in the early autumn evening awaiting Clarice, his true love and wife. In his arm is a bouquet of hand made sunflowers, made from hand painted papers.
The basket he carries is hand woven from hops vines and is filled with fireworks, party horns and fruit. The fireworks were carefully crafted from papers whose patterns resemble the fireworks from the 20's, 30's, and 40's.
In south western British Columbia fireworks and Halloween go hand in hand. Basil's clothing gives him the look of a respectable English gentleman outfitted by a Persian wizard. His silk vest is complete with watch chain. Original 1 only

Delia
Delia is a center slide candy container that stands 28" tall. She is one of many vendors on the cobble stone streets of her town where she sells her hand made lace, notions, tin plates, jugs, clogs, and apples.
Inspired by Victorian peddler dolls she is the first in a series of scarecrow pedlar candy containers. A silk velvet cape covers her vintage silk taffeta dress. The cobblestones are modeled with composition, then painted with approximately twelve layers of paint glaze to achieve the effect of stone. Original 1 only
